It has always been a tradition for our students to celebrate Book Week. The joy of remembering and honouring the works of different authors and illustrators, the pleasures of reading and being transported to another world. The experience seemed surreal at times.
This year, our EYD students have done a wonderful job of role playing the characters of their favourite storybook. The students from Year 1 and Year 2 have done well in their Hanger Mobile Book Report. The Year 4 students have faithfully worked at their level best on their 3-D Diorama Book Report during this year’s Book Week. They reconstructed one of their favourite scenes in a shoebox by utilising recycled materials. It is amazing to see how resilient and resourceful our students are even during tough times.
Let us not allow the Covid 19 pandemic to dampen their spirit. Reading and writing does not cease even during troubled times and this is why we take this opportunity to showcase the works of our students to encourage them.
