Y8 Group Learning (Digestive System) 2018

Learning objectives:
Students will be able to
1) Understand the human digestive system.
2) Label and spell each organ correctly.


Strategy :

1. Students are arranged into 4 groups randomly so that all the different nationality students are work together.
2. Students are asked to bring cardboard and clay in different colour.

The outcome for today’s activity:

1. Self-motivation is developed among weaker students especially the students with lower English proficiency; they are encouraging to provide appropriate ideas and carried out the presentation for a 3D model.
2. Students are able fully engaged and able to work collaboratively. This mixed grouping encourages struggling students to learn from their peers and students with greater mastery to exhibit leadership skills, a key component in 21st century learning and skill development.
3. All the students able to describe and to spell the digestive system correctly.
4. For a summative assessment, students are successfully to form a 3D model of digestive system without teacher’s guidance.
