My son, Yu Haiyang, joined Year 3 at KIS in Sept 2019. Under Ms. Sheena’s patient teaching and effective use of teaching resources, Hanyang’s English competency had improved from zero proficiency to the beginner level over 1.5 years, as he is NOW able to hold simple conversation in English with others. Much later, the school management organised the EEP lessons which interest Haiyang. Haiyang’s EAL lessons are the best so far and his teacher is also very responsible. I am a alumnus of Kingsley International School and I graduated in the academic year of 2018/2019. I have studied in Kingsley for exactly 5 years, from 2014 to 2019. Over the years, I have learned a number of skills such as improving teamwork spirit, being independent and many more. For starters, I have been a below average student, that many people had doubted and made fun off hence my grades. I had only 2 credits out 7 subjects and failing the rest that I took back in year 10. However having said that, my classmates and teachers stood by my side every time and remained positive and hopeful. They would never stop motivating me and in the process, helped me with the subjects that I struggled a lot with. During the IGCSE period, I was predicated to have no A’s, 1 B and 6 Credits but on the day that my results came out, I myself could not believe the grades I obtained. They were 3 A’s , 2 B’s and 2 Credits and no fails. My journey in Kingsley was a wild experience and I truly have to thank the school, the teachers and my classmates for making me be the person I am today.

Kingsley have given me the opportunity to showcase my talents and character. This school is all about giving chances to people who have problems. In my old school, there was a lot of bullies, teachers being biased and the environment of the classroom is always uncomfortable to be in. The syllabus they were using doesn’t help students that much. At Kingsley, you won’t feel like a stranger here because most of the students and teachers would always welcome you with open arms. The environment in the class is always filled with smiles, hardworking students and teachers. They also provide opportunities to join a club. The meals that the canteen provides is always delicious, healthy and of high-quality. This is what I experienced at Kingsley.

I’m the mother of Dawn, Gaius and Haans Wee. My children are students at the Maple Leaf Kingsley International School. The school campus is strategically situated at Kingsley Hills. It is surrounded by lush green and offers a breath-taking sight. It also offers a healthy and clean studying environment with its location far from the industrial and city areas. As beautiful as its location, the school offers children the opportunity to study with great facilities and educators. The campus tranquil environment prompted me to decide to enroll my children at Kingsley. I contacted the marketing personnel of Kingsley, Ms. Chan Shu Mun. Her explanation and program counseling was very clear and effective. After this session, I decided to enroll my three children for year one, year seven and year nine respectively. This year is their second academic year at the school. During the first year of study, my children felt happy, comfortable with the learning environment and got along well with their teachers and classmates. The teachers are friendly and diligent. They created a happy atmosphere where the students are happy to learn. Disciplinary issues are handled appropriately in this school. The recent pandemic has compelled my children to stay put at home and study online. The teachers have to adjust accordingly and put in more effort to ensure the online classes are effective. My children’s attendance for the online classes were good. I hope that one day, the students turn out to be responsible and able to contribute back to the society. I am very grateful to the teachers for their unending pastoral care. Finally, I wish to thank the teachers for their constant support towards the students.

I am a mother from Tian Jin, China who came to Malaysia for my daughter’s studies. She joined KIS in April 2019. Due to her poor English proficiency level, she struggled when she was new to the school. As she was unable to cope, we met up with the primary principal. The school management was very concerned for struggling students from China Mainland, so she arranged for individual coaching sessions for my daughter. At the same time, she also discovered my daughter’s interest in drawing and arranged for an art teacher to teach my daughter for free. Since then, my daughter had improved tremendously and started to enjoy learning English, under her teachers’ continuous support. Much later due to the Covid 19 pandemic, my daughter had to follow her lessons online from home. The school management provided her with a laptop which truly touched my heart. I am thus very grateful to KIS primary principal and all the teachers.

World Scholar’s Cup Gold Medalist Kingsley International School has certainly been an institution of heart-warming memories and the happiest of times. I remember the moment I received my admission letter as a scholarship student and entered Kingsley International School’s campus. The teachers at Kingsley are definitely the most profoundly ingenious people I’ve met throughout my educational journey. They embody impressive personalities and enlighten students in the best ways possible. As I graduate in 2 years, I have realized that my will and spirit to strive will never fade away as I have been heavily nourished and supported by my amazing teachers. A special thanks to my science teachers, who have enlightened and educated me in the science stream.

I have a great appreciation for the school facilities as well such as the science laboratories where I pursue my avid desires for the knowledge of science. I had never imagined to be able to partake in so many fascinating science experiments that completely blew my mind away. In the past 3 years, I have met admirable peers and amazing friends that have grown close to me throughout the years. Although we may all be different, we share a common goal which is to strive for success. Having the advantage to study in a superb learning environment, we are granted a clear aim. That aim is to succeed in life and to never disappoint anybody who has invested time and money on students with hopes to just witness a bright future in return.

I started my journey as a student in Year 7 in Maple Leaf Kingsley International School. After completing my year 11 and I progressed to pursue A Levels study in the school. At Kingsley, I grew personally and academically. Kingsley had generously provided me a 50% scholarship for my secondary and high school years and a full scholarship for my A levels. I am very grateful for this opportunity. This has encouraged me to consistently maintain my grades and perform well academically. During my study, the teachers had supported and helped me greatly. They are nice, friendly, and approachable, most importantly, they are willing to take time and care for each of their students that are in need. For instance, during my high school and A-Levels years, the teachers will make themselves available after school hours to assist students who need assistance. The school has organized workshops for IELTS preparation and career pathway, which is a big help to the students.

Throughout the years I was in school, I got to join a variety of clubs and societies, typically Gavel club, which I had proudly joined since year 7 until year 10. Gavel club, which also known as Toastmasters club had taught me more than public speaking. It allows members to explore a variety of topics, in different formats of speeches. I had also been a part of the Aikido club, 24 Festive Drums club, which I was taught to be resilient and cooperative in a team. Besides clubs and societies, there were school bazaars, carnivals, learning journeys, and plays. School bazaars allow my friends and I to hold activities and sales, whereas in learning journeys, we got to do activities outside of the school and even be in the nature, for example, Mersing beach in Johor. My friends and I bonded and had fun through these activities, creating memories which I cherish always. Overall, it was a journey of companionship with friends and teachers; hardship and achievements. It has been an honour to be a part of Kingsley International School. I am happy and grateful for the friendships I made with friends and teachers in this journey together. I would recommend anyone considering, to become a part of Kinglsey International School.

My education journey started at Maple Leaf Kingsley International School when I enrolled in Year 7. I completed my study after accomplishing A-levels. Throughout these seven years of my student life in Kingsley, I had built many good memories. I could never forget how passionate the teachers were and I am grateful to have their guidance. I also felt very secured being in a bully-free school environment and my days in Kingsley were overall very pleasant. The teachers were all very patient and were always willing to help. The teachers would leave their phone numbers for me to contact them in WhatsApp. Mr Khoo is a passionate teacher. There was a time, I was doing some past year exam papers and I came across a question which I could not solve. So, I instinctively picked up my phone and texted my teacher. In fewer than 5 minutes, I got a reply from my teacher, Mr Khoo. It was only after I received the text I noticed it was 12 am already. Besides, it was on a weekend. This incident made me realise how lucky I was compared to other students who might need to refer to YouTube videos or have to wait until a weekday to be able to ask their teachers. I’m very glad to have done my A-levels in Kingsley. Ms Jin, the Biology teacher played a huge role in helping me to get an A in this subject. She provided me with resourceful notes and made sure the classes had a very good learning environment. Ms Jin is not afraid to go the extra mile to aid her students.

My chemistry teacher, Ms Gladys was very experienced and knowledgeable. She had an easy-going attitude and she made the classes fun. She has a sense of humour and this helped her classes to be lively. Ms Christine Ong, the head of A-levels made me feel that Kingsley was a home away from home. She was always ready to help and demonstrated insurmountable pastoral care during my A levels. To conclude, these amazing teachers are the ones whom I will never forget for the rest of my life. I’m thankful towards Kingsley for giving me these memories. I would like to thank Mr Khoo, Ms Jin, Ms Gladys and Ms Christine Ong for playing a prominent role in my student journey at ML Kingsley International School.

Kingsley International School provides good quality education that prepares a student to be eligible for tertiary education. I was offered a full scholarship to complete my Cambridge A-Level Programme at Kingsley in January 2019. Although my time at Kingsley was brief with one and a half years, I gained plenty of knowledge pertinent to my choice of undergraduate degree. This helped me to map out my career pathway. Kingsley’s location offers a peaceful and serene environment for students to concentrate on their studies. The tranquil surrounding kept me away from distractions. The school has also done a good job in delivering great services for the students who live at the Residential Hall. I enjoyed the excellent sport and recreational facilities. This helped me to attain a healthy and balanced lifestyle. Through these activities, I made many good friends and created unforgettable memories.

The cafeteria at Kingsley delivers excellent quality food. I enjoyed the variety of food during my course of study. The teachers in Kingsley are extremely helpful and they play a great part of my success in completing my A Levels. My teachers never once refused to give me advice on academic as well as personal matters. They do not mind using their leisure time when a student needs help. This act of kindness had touched me deeply. Their teaching methods are unique compared to other education providers. All these made me feel at home and welcomed at Kingsley. The students in Kingsley are the reason why I never felt left out during my time at the school. I have no hesitation in recommending Kingsley to anyone looking for a pre-university programme. Based on my experience, I firmly believe that the teachers and staff at Kingsley International School will guide the students positively towards a better future. What can I say but great things about Maple Leaf Kingsley International School! I began my journey in Year 8 Cambridge (UK) curriculum. The teachers and the administrative personnel have supported me until the end of my high school. My teachers kept nudging me to reach for the best and achieve all of my goals. The teachers are very kind and have always guided me when I felt lost. The one factor I love the most about Kingsley is the supportive and kind teachers. The environment in Kingsley is simply positive and encourages me to work harder. It is not only the academics that is great about this school, but also the extra-curricular activities available elevated my experience. I was able to keep fit through my volleyball training and dodgeball games with my peers. These sport activities also build a sense of community within the school as everyone had fun together and supported each other.

I was also a member of the Gavel club where I was given the opportunity to guide the younger year groups to improve their public speaking abilities such as speeches and vice versa. I gained confidence and courage through this club. Gavel Club allows the freedom of expression, building respectful and assertive characters along the way. I will never forget my journey in Kingsley International School and will forever be grateful for the support they have showered me with. Apart from this, what I like about Kingsley is the small classes so teachers can focus on students better, wide range of facilities, committed and caring teachers who are willing to help us even if its outside lesson times and a wide range of subjects available for IGCSE. In the future, I aspire to be Data Analyst and involved in the Real Estate business. – Kuang Wei Xiang Alumni of 2018/2019

My son hopes to return to school for his continuous learning.

I appreciate and I’m thankful to the teachers at Maple Leaf Kingsley International School. They are always helpful and kind. I understand that it is not easy for teachers to conduct online lessons as this mode of teaching requires additional preparatory work. It also requires more effort and patience. Thanks again to all Kingsley’s teachers.

I greatly enjoyed my study at Kingsley.
